What is so wrong with that? Indeed mostly they praised Kageyama at first sight because his talents are showing from starting while the others are still in progressing.. And it's not like the others did not get loved or whatever.. In fact, th,e others are getting much more love from side characters than Kageyama in this manga and anime.. Besides, it's not like Kageyama is perfectionist character, he still has his flaw, why are so hating over Kageyama? Maybe, you're just watching anime and then continued reading this manga after season 3 finished, that's why you can't really see the Kageyama who is full of weakness and so on.. For us, more like for me, Kageyama the one who reallt need loves from others instead of enemies.
Hmmm... I don't think they overestimate him. He's an amazing teen with a huge talent and ambition. He's also a volleyball baka. But he works just as hard if not harder than anyone else, and he always leaves 200% on the court.
The author gave enough reason as to what makes Kageyama a genius and I’m convinced that he has the potential. I feel sorry for you that you don’t like Kageyama (if you liked him, I’m sure you’d not have trouble accepting what the author has been saying about Kageyama) because he’s one of the main characters and also Hinata’s partner. There’s surely going to be more praise about Kageyama along with Hinata.
The only reason why Hinata’s not so recognized as Kageyama is because of his height and skills. If he had both of them from the beginning, he might have been regarded as a genius too, but I think Hinata’s perfect as he is. I love him for not being ‘the genius’ and for loving volleyball so genuinely even though some people think it impossible for someone so small.
I think that the fact that a genius like Kageyama actually thinks Hinata his best partner and serving Hinata with his best set up just makes this whole story very entertaining. It just makes me so proud of both of them.
