It happens to me. That's why I always check in the new chapters section just in case I miss a manga
did you click the already read, reading?
that's what happened to me, i would put them on my list, and then finding out that they updated and it never notified me. then i saw the already read, is reading lol
They will show you the notif if you add them to your reading list or already read list. I believe want to read also works, but I never use it.

WHY IS THAT I NEVER GET UPDATED ON ANY OF THE MANGA ( except for two or three ) EVEN THO I ADD THEM TO MY LIST!? IT ANNOYS ME THE MOOSSTTTTT.
