Is it legal to buy yaoi in Japan and ship them to the US?

What are things I should be careful about? Obviously no shota, but what about the high-school based yaoi? Are those legal to bring to the US?

I think it's okay to buy mangas from Japan and shipped to the US.

@harada, cuz I don't want to be charge like these US citizens when I ship back r18 BL. -.- http://cbldf.org/criminal-prosecutions-of-manga/

Obviously I'll be avoiding shota and beastiality, but I'm not sure about the school-based BL, if those are legal in the US and if straight up PWP yaoi are legal.

I'm looking for US-based responses since that's more relevant to my situation.

Hmmm, from the US though. Based on the article, I think it’s better not to buy from Japan? I don’t know, since they got sentenced to jail by buying from Japan. Looks like I won’t be buying a Japanese manga that I’ve been wanting to buy :’D better be safe than sorry(for me).
