I dont understand how this omegaverse is different in the sense of rape representation than any other...rape is almost like a characteristic of omegaverse stories.
I have never heard anything negative said about Abarenbou Honey for example and that also starts with rape where they both lose rationality...before anyone says anything, I like this story and Abarenbou Honey and many other omegaverse stories, I just dont understand why the discussion on the morality of rape suddenly became so central with this one in particular when it has been present before

Popularity is key. This particular webcomic just has more traffic than Abarenbou did, so more people = more drama.

Also I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure people definitely had their say about the rape in Abarenbou. I think most people just glazed it over when the rest of the comic was fluffy and sweet

Remember this is a depiction of "rape FANTASY", not just rape in itself. Rape under any other circumstances is just wrong period. But most yaoi manga do have rape or forcible sex that's supposed to be hot and supposed to be depicting a rape fantasy.

What you just said is the part of my argument that i didnt want to spell out, cause for me its a given...i just think that the rape discussion blew up with this webtoon disproportionately compared to others.
