I was wondering, does it bother you guys that a manga is not cleaned? I mean the Japanese characters and stuff

    actually no. as long as its not obstructing the english text its completely fine

    Although cleaned is also nice, I don't really mind when it's not. For the sound effects I often like it in the original form (not cleaned), but when it's small text, like back ground conversations I get really curious about what they say :-)

    I actually also like it uncleaned better! I'd like to know what the sound effects are though. As for small text, I agree for having it translated. Sometimes it's cute/funny

    I'm fine with the original sfx, but that's because I can read kana and the sounds are straightforward (あ a and ん n are most of them during sexy time). I also think they look better than Roman letters. But most people reading a translated comic can't read them, so for their sake I think scan teams should do a better job of translating sfx. I know a lot of comics are originally messy af and super hard to clean, but even if the cleaning isn't perfect, the readers will still appreciate it.

    As far as handwritten asides, it really bothers me if it's not translated. The best jokes are in the asides. So is a lot of foreshadowing. So skipping that is just lazy translating.
