i'm sure the other readers don't think that it is okay they just realize that it's not real and that because it's yaoi whatever happens the yaoi will turn out with a happy ending as long as its not a tragedy. but i think that the uke would dump the seme and press charges if they really didn't like what the seme done to them but they dont and in the end, start dating the seme...but i don't know...obviously that kind of thing is disgusting and everything, this is just how I view things, not trying to say your wrong or anything. i mean we are reading a story about someone else's life, so the choices they make, (like dating the seme even if they raped them) are entirely the mc's choice since the manga is based off of them, i don't think yaoi's are trying to normalize rape, i think if you asked the author if they thought that kind of thing was okay they would definitely disagree but they put it in since its a part of the plot and what they have decided to add into the main characters story. so if people do not like what happens in the characters life, just don't read it because it's not like we can change it, so just check the tags and makes sure its not got the rape tag, that's the only thing you can do. once again, not saying i'm right or anything, i strongly disagree with it as well, this is just how i see things.

but the thing is, as much as you try to.say it's his choice that's not how it happens in real life so IT IS trying to tell the viewers that it is normal and.you should forgive them especially if you love them but honey I know friends that were raped by their partners and it's just as bad in their mental health as it would be if it was anyone else, actually it feels worse bc it's someone you trust and love breaking your trust and violating your body. it's the MANGAKAS choice all of the things the characters do, not the characters choice, remember that bc they don't act by themselves, I'm sure if it was real life with real people all of it would've been a lot different when you can see more than once that the MC is being manipulated, bc that's what happens, they feel like trash but can't run bc they're being manipulated, it really pains me to see shit like this bc it happened to someone really close to me and it's not alright she's such a good person but I can now see that it was all a big nightmare where she couldn't get out of it bc her partner made her think she was the monster, that's abusive, that's not cool, and the manga IS telling you all of this it's romantic
sorry if it's a bit messy but this is a really sensitive topic to me bc rape culture and toxic masculinity is a thing and it affects man, woman and everyone in between, so it's something we should always think about, just always think about others, that's all I ask...
