You do realise that Tatsumi bought Shuri because he's the owner of Hanabishi (Brothel) Those type of men will careless who you are all they care about is them selling their bodies to make them money. To give you a hint about the question you've just asked um... it's a Brothel story meaning Shuri was bought by Tatsumi to have sex with random guy to make him money. But Shuri is too soft and kind, Tatsumi couldn't help but fall in love, which you can't tell last few pages at the end of chp 2.
So cruel how he treats Shuri, but I too read the Chinese raw, it's a very cute story :)
