I know that everyone's hating on him, but I just feel intensely bad for the cop :( I know he's getting pyscho, and I'm sure he'll be getting it from demon buy (so he'll probs be dead soon) - but still... I can understand why he doesn't want to believe that his lover is a monster. That would make everything that he lives for a lie. And with all the guilt, because he feels like it's his fault... I mean... No wonder he went off the rails
