The fact remains it was not him who gave the uke the food but the bothers who seemed to care more about him at the time than the seme did.
The fact also remains that he locked someone up with animals to live like an animal without food or water just because he had a temper tantrum.
If he was a 60 year old uncle of the uke who did that we all would have screamed abuse. But because he was the romantic interest it was somehow okay.

All the seme's are kind of jerks.
First story: Seme locks the uke in a shed and did not even bring him food or water, their other friends did. And he does not properly explain things to the uke and gets him mixed up in his own drama.
Second story: Seme was such a homophobic jerk when he rejected the uke. He never apologizes just does his own thing for a year not really caring about the uke and only when they are conveniently in the same class does he pull another jerk move by lying to the uke so that things will go as he wanted it.
Third story: Seme knows uke has feeling for him and it's requited love, yet he does nothing about it even kind makes everything the uke's fault when it's both of them lacking communication. And seriously why work in a gay bar a job that gets him so close to other guys that their perfume rubs of on him, when you have an intended person already? I still think it's a jerk move to not confess and then get jealous over your crush's maybe girlfriend / lover. They both were a bit jerk-ish here.
