yeah, exactly. Not alone on Akihito and not alone on Asami. Alone they are not that valuable ╮(￣▽￣)╭ they can only exist with each other, if they broke up, lots of people wouldn't want anything about them.
So when "some" people compare fanbase size, maybe keep this in mind....

No. But it is a different progress entirely. Asami and Akihito were together from the start, whether it was a messed up abusive relationship or now slowly very slowly developing into something good. They were together, and never had their "own story" and ambitions seperated from each other. Fans want them together, they dont want them seperately.
Fei on the other hand, while his ambitions are tied to the main characters obviously, he is alone entirely, therefore his fans like him singlehandedly, not just a relationship he is supposed to be in. If he gets a partner, that would just boost his fanbase even more.
I think it depends "who" he chooses to be his partner. Many Fei fans are divided about this (the suitors with larger amount of fans are Mikhail and Yoh) (=・ω・=)
But whether he chooses Mikhail or Yoh, his fanbase will be still very interested in him. Some might be disappointed some happy, but they love Fei, not just his relationship he should be in.
Feilong reminds me so much of LanWangJi....absolutely gorgeous
