i'm in love with the story so much i can't even concrete on what i'm writing to you （/TДT)/
sorry I don't have them when me at the moment....but I can tell you what happens from what I can remember. Honestly I read it a long time ago and after finding the last one I put them away.

There are many short stories in which they encounter many different people who either have fake or real treasures. Later into the volumes you find out that the treasures actually do belong to Ling-Po. Those treasures were created for him from the masters however they were taken from him. He became a theif to take back what rightfully belonged to him. Ling-po's bestfriend begins to travel with them but due to Bu-cho's attitude he can only tag along from afar. That's the turning point of the story. Ling-Po's bestfriend gets controlled by (excuse this part I don't remeber if it was by someone or something). They confront him and at first they are confused by his actions until Mei-toku tries to talk some since into him and ( I really don't remember his name) Ling-po's friend kills Mei-toku. Bu-cho actually cries for Mei-toku and that is where the story sadly ends.
I could never find the rest so I don't know if they completed collecting the treasures and if they did (would they use the wish to bring Mei-toku back to life). I don't know for Ling-po is forced to kill his bestfriend or if his bestfriend was the bad guy all along.

i kinda had a hunch that the treasures belonged to li ling po somehow...
BUT! his friend ( i think his name was yaku ) being controlled and the death of mei toku!! THAT, I CAN NOT IGNORE!(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
i really liked all the characters, so it hurts me to even think i won't see some of them again┗( T﹏T )┛

I have all the volumes up to 9 and unfortunately they never published the 10th one in English and i was unable to find it online. We will never really know what happened in the end T-T the ending on volume 9 left me in tears T-T I wanted to know what happened next but i never will.
