Who says that he doesn't love him. Maybe he does love him allot, maybe he just doesn't realize it yet because his life has been one hell of an emotional role coaster. I think he loves him allot, but because of self hatred and regret and whatever he is self destructing big time. When a person is on the road of self destructing, the first thing they do is eliminate the closed people around you. This is what is happening right now. In order to feel nothing at all he is erasing all his feelings. Good thing a true friend or lover will always see right trough it.
