Exactly! People who describe character by uke or seme just... I don't get it. Have they never heard of switching? I mean... I saw the comment and it left me speechless.
Character are more than just a sex position (even taking into account the tropes of yaoi).
Writing of both Lily and Edo as seme and saying they can't be together is just stupid imo.

That's the yaoi fandom for ya. It's pretty disgusting. I mean, not to say that there aren't gay men that exclusively do one position, but it's still a very simple-minded statement. A lot of gay men don't have anal sex at all. But then, you start to wonder sometimes if real gay men and yaoi even have much in common. Sometimes it seems more like the equivalent of straight guys liking lesbian porn. It's just a kink, a fascination and perversion (and objectification). And sure, there are many yaoi that are meant like that, but I don't want people to group them together with an actual good story like Momentum.

My thought exactly! I really hate it when people just describe the character as seme and uke, because not only do they objectify the character but I feel like ultimately that's also how they view gay relationship irl...
And it's true that there are really good yaoi story that have good plot and nice relationship, but I feel like most of them are trash to put it bluntly.
