You should read Light and Shadow the female mc knows politics well and is a master swordsmen. Actually makes some changes... unlike this one and king's daughter from what i've read from spoilers.

I don't really care about her trusting him it's not the point here I hate her acting like a child also in the last chapter while perdel was teaching her and talking about her position she really doesn't get it!! and she doesn't figure out her father's feelings!!
