There is nothing romantic about their relantioship it sickens me but for some reason I cant stop reading this messed up manga - the author is brilliant, wonder if they studied psychology.
The author is portraying his BPD, it's an explanation for his needy, impulsive, self harming, criminal behaviour and how he approaches relationships, but not an excuse. He's not a boy, and neither is Sangwoo, but two men who has suffered severe abuse in their home lives, and are in a codependency with each other. They both are victims, and they both are criminals.
I could say the same to you.
Firstly, Bum is grateful to Sangwoo because he saved him from being raped. Any normal person would repay that favor by obsessing over their saviour and housebreaking I'm sure.
Secondly, for someone who's as into Sang woo as him, he tried to poison him, escape, and almost gave into the policeman. Now one could argue that's because he's fucking scared for his life and wants to save himself and what he feels for Sangwoo isn't real. But he changes his mind pretty fast once Sangwoo spits out some sweet shit. And now, right after his uncle is brutally murdered, he's happy forgetting him and getting on with the fucking.
And who said I don't want Bum happy? I don't know why people thing Sangwoo X Bum is the happiest ending for poor poor Bummy, makes no fucking sense. I'm saying that a mental institution is the best for Bum keeping his best interests in mind. Was that too difficult to follow?
And guys lets not forget Bum stabbed a girl to death, you can argue and say Sangwoo influenced him. But murder is murder, there is no happy ending for that shit.

Bum became obsessed with Sangwoo because he was the first one who showed him affection by saving him. Bum didn't know how to rightly approach him because he has no parents who taught him anything, but only received abuse.
He tried to poison him to escape the abuse. He got his fucking legs broken because of him, so he had no reasons to be all over Sangwoo there.
Trying to escape is obvious, what do you expect him to do?

You can't just say one is justified and gets a free pass, and the other is the devil incarnate, rather than rationally seeing them as two men with untreated trauma and personality disorders which cause them to harm themselves and others.

These 2 weren't the only ones and he also killed the gay bar man just because he wanted to. He was also able to tell the women from the skiing apart from his mom, considering how he talked about her son.
