It is a good read so I do think you should continue. The main character is kind of annoying because his character basically doesn't change much, even at the end, but all the other characters are interesting enough.
You should continue, I've finished reading it a long time ago and as far as I can remember, it's really good. There's still like 350+ chapter more for you to read and I'm sure ur gonna like it, just be patient (⌒▽⌒)
You should continue, you have to! KHR starts with comedy and becomes pretty serious. It has its special & deep moments. The characters continue to evolve (ok Tsuna is a special case). The drawing gets better and better.
I love this manga very much, the anime too... Ahhh good old days. I always hoped for an anime continuation.

Definitely read it. The beginning also turned me off but, trust me, everything takes a crazy turn after the first two arcs. From what you've said you haven't made it to the Kokuyo Land Arc yet, which is where everything really begins. I only started getting really invested in the story at around chapter 80-ish. After that the manga is a complete rollercoaster of emotions and fun, I really recommend it!
Tsuna acting like a main character starts around chapter 79-80. Before that is all slice of life.
I stopped reading this manga at ch 50, i felt like the story doesnt progress and there is no development.. Should I continue reading? (Is it getting good?)
