All you had to do to gracefully solve this situation was announce "sorry if anyone misunderstood. We are not dropping Remnant, we are still scanlating and translating it etc...." and on till it's clear exactly what you plan to do.
Nijinini has their huge following on Tumblr where people are constantly thanking them and complimenting them - that kind of attention can cause a person to lose perspective.
I think you've forgotten that you're not infallible, that you shouldn't throw your weight around unreasonably, and that you shouldn't believe that everything you say is right just because your large following supports you in all you do no matter what. It disgusts me that you made me the object of all that egotism.
