ah shit. Now it will be "we don't want to hear about your life! It's not cheerful enough!"
You think I want to hear about my life?
"You're bad and "toxic for our community," and we don't like you!
let's delete you!"
Be my guest. Maybe if enough of you hit that downvote button, it will delete my life experiences along with my comments.

I've been right where dg is, having been a goddamned doormat for some gorgeous thing, waiting around way too long in real pain, finally realizing they're never going to love you back, leaving, getting over them only to have the little bastard suddenly decide they're in love with you. Only a short while ago when you would've been ecstatic over all the hearts and flowers, now you wish that person you loved so much would just go away forever. I like this story okay enough to keep reading, but it's just too much like the coldest part of heartless love. In RL once you're out and over it, no way do you ever want to go back and watch while once they have you back, they return to their real self. Once you're out of that relationship, even getting the justice you deserve is worth nothing to you. I've never seen alex as attractive cuz I know him in RL too many times. Here it's okay. It's a story where the Alex guy can turn into mr right. In RL, no matter what their excuse or how sympathetic they are due to having been damaged in the past, these guys don't change.
I hope that dg has managed to hold onto a tiny corner of hope and love for Alex so when the door opens, he's able to go back and enjoy the love and the good treatment he deserves.
On the flip side, If I'm with a DG who acts like a doormat, I'm going to walk on them, and that's not going to change no matter what. If they leave I'm like, okay, bye (good riddance) DG's make you hate yourself, and they never change either.
