Normally I'd say that, when two adults get into a relationship knowing the conditions, both of them are accountable for the outcome. So people can argue that the uke knew what he was getting into. But I would like to point out that to have equal accountability, people should stand on equal grounds. Maki is bi so he has plenty of opportunities compared to a gay uke who's only chances are gay men and willing bi men. plus, there was always hope in romance that the guy/gal would fall for them (hey! when was love rational?) So the cards were not fair right from the beginning. Even if I agree with some of the comments that said Maki had his reasons, the way he dumped the uke is horrible. His reasoning is that he needs to be firm? In their relationship, the uke never demanded anything so if Maki stood his ground/ cut of all connections while leaving the apartment would have been enough. But he planned on not going on that trip even when the uke was making plans with so much happiness on his face. What kind of a human does that and make someone wait in the hotel room all alone??? I would have punched that b before giving up. And even in the stories, it was revealed that the uke wasn't actually waiting to get back together, but to "hear the goodbye" directly from him. You can chose a woman, chose to have children or go @#%%$&, but you have to be human about it. Imagine if Tomoyuki hasn't moved in...
