An I'm not sure if Eric could have bee happy with that much power. I think he really cherished that 'cook, eat, talk and laugh together' dream.

On another note, I was kind of hoping for Eric to be a Lord and rule over humans and vampires alike; 'cuz it'd be interesting on how he'd pull it off, not to mention he's a legal heir so I'm just kind of... Disappointed? That that fact wasn't used much for development (just simply pheromones) despite its potential to become more? I'm glad Eric lives, but it's quite bittersweet still, as he was made to be the villain in the end so it could resolve the conflict. There could have been much more to Eric and the conclusion, him being a half-blood royalty and all.
Nonetheless, a very worthwhile read, one of the best vampire BL setting I've ever read.
