When I first started reading this manga I was surprised that I hadn’t found out about it earlier. That’s how good I thought it was. Unfortunately new characters started popping up who made the story cliché and sucked the life out of the once charming Iroha. Seriously, she went from being a super playful and assertive girl to someone who doesn’t particularly stand out. More and more panels were being devoted to Tsutsui spending time with other characters. Consequently, he and Iroha didn’t really have the chemistry they used to have together. I’ll add that I put this on-hold around chapter 19. It’s possible that the story later returns to its former glory, but for now, I’m just incredibly disappointed and had to stop reading.

Update: I finished the manga and can now confirm that it doesn't get better. The only character I cared about was Itou. Everyone else was frustrating. Iroha, the previously charming heroine, became a boring girl who was nothing more than a plot device. Tsutsui and Ayado were inconsiderate and annoying. Ishino was dim-witted (e.g. she fell for false rumors and fell in love with douchebags) and unnecessarily aggressive (e.g. she beat Tsutsui). Takanashi was a douchebag who never confessed to intentionally falsely accusing Tsutsui of a grave crime. Even when he discussed the accusation with Tsutsui's family, he pretended that he simply misunderstood the situation.

All in all, I only recommend reading the first volume unless you want to see Itou's development.
