The author may portray the mc as misunderstood, but I juste can't sympathise, as she doesn't
acknowledge anyone, have the basic etiquette around other people nor does she appear to have something that prevents her from doing so. If you don't want other people to behave rudely to you, start by not acting rude yourself.
