Not the easiest read. The working parents, leaving their child alone and unfed, crying themselves to sleep rather than being responsible for finding childcare, the family pet never fed during those hours and the child and dog not even given the freedom to interact with one another was awful. Ditto the story about a man, not engaged with his wife or child, the wife gets pregnant by another man, and then he sets the house on fire, leaving her disfigured, and they both stay together, why? The selfish man who is marrying his daughter of to a police man she doesn't love, simply because his own dad imprinted this idea that police are to be idolised, yet he himself never bothered to try and be a police officer, and is trying to force his own beliefs onto his son and daughter. Not the best, rather grotesque.
