is it weird to like a manga/manhwa by its art? i mean if im trying out a new manga, i mostly dropped them if i dont like the art style. like first the artsyle and second the plot. is it weird? am i being mean? does this happens to any of you?

    I think It's not weird cause i do that aswell ( ̄∇ ̄")it's not so called mean aswell because it's your style for reading..everybody has a different style for reading(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

    i think it's normal. there are some great mangas i missed out on reading because of the art. i don;t like characters with super sharp v-shaped faces. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ but hey, i've read some of them when i had nothing better to do and they're great lol.

    Art is subjective and your taste will mature with age. Maybe 5, 10 years from now, those titles you find unappealing will be something you'd take an interest on. So just enjoy the ones that do keep your interest now. No point forcing yourself just because someone said it has a very good story.

    Don't feel bad. I dropped and picked up a manga because of its art. Its perfectly normal. Heck, it took me 8 tries to read angel densetsu because i was scared of the MCs face. And his face was intentionally drawn to be scary. So eirher kudos to me for reading through it, or kudos to the author for making me come back to read a fantastic story. Just come back to it later. Maybe your taste will change.
