I much prefer stories where the MC is not perfect and has to actually deal with the problems they create. All the relationships were pretty much bad for each of them and they ended up abusing each other one way or another.
This kind of reminded me of the BL Easy Target what with all the abuse, drama, and manipulation in it.
But overall I have to say I enjoyed it. The story didn't try to sugar coat just how fucked up everything was and everyone got what they deserved. And I normally like happy ends but lets be honest, there was no happy end for anyone in this story.
