The “double homicide” happened 3 years ago.
Kwak said it has been at least 5 years since he has been a guest at Sangwoo’s house if not longer.
This means that Kwak and Sangwoo knew each other from before the accident and that Kwak might have known his parents. This man is hiding something.

Also what if he’s the man Eunseo had an affair with when Sangwoo was little? The age would match since he says that he had a son around Sangwoo’s age.the more i think about it, the more i believe that officer kwak and sangwoos mother had an affair. it would make sense why he was in their house often…sangwoo seems to have some sort of agreement with him.

And here!! He went on the second floor to get that packet of fingernails.

And then

He’s looking under the table! He planted the fucking fingernail on purpose!! Never let it be said that Sangwoo is not intelligent. This was a split second plan to gauge just how much Cheif Kwak suspected him. And it worked exactly like Sangwoo wanted.
Yeah! kwak crossed the line suspecting sangwoo and disappointed him, kwak would be great fun for the basement-kun. (=・ω・=)

Thanks!! And I must say I’m impressed, I’m really impressed, even though Sangwoo was emotionally unstable, he was able to make such a plan to trap Kwak and remain two steps ahead of him, which makes him such an intelligent boy and such a great and multifaceted character, OMG guys I’m serious, I’m amazed. He always ends up surprising me even more. Yes I know many people is pointing this out too but I had to say it too because I can’t get over it, I’m so in awe of him and I literally clapped on his intelligent compuser reading this chapter, I’m so proud of him and koogi

Actually the 'son' they were talking about is the police officer who was obsess with sagwoo, it's been stated that kwak though of him as aa son

Yah!! I'm sure it was really mentioned, but we if observe it now, I would think about it out of my statement, so take it as Sangwoo knew that Chief Kwak thought of Seungbae as a son as well as him.

    Here please!

Kwak’s reactions do seem a little more off now that we know he considers both men like sons. You would think that he reprimanded Seungbae so harshly for suspecting a man he thought of like his own son, but If we suppose to him it was more like seeing his kids fighting? That's why he slapped and suspended seungbae!?? Haha, I guess Seungbae’s firing was akin to being put in time out.

But it isn't use to bring "son" thing now since this all mess gone cleared to today's chapter that Kwak had an agreement with sangwoo. And he suspected him for his own bad. So it doesn't make sense he did ever consider sangwoo nor seungbae as his "sons".

So the thing is I wonder if Chief Kwak will go ‘missing’ and Detective Lee will mention it to Seungbae. Who will then snap into action and immediately suspect Sangwoo? Because right now, I can’t really imagine much to get Seungbae back into the plot. It would be best if we stay calm and wait until next chapter (=・ω・=)
