All the vampires... and all of the men... couldn’t put humpty back together again :’D

I think Humpty was the saddest character because he was nearly gone by the end. He really was like Humpty Dumpty sitting on a wall above humans, but not a vampire. It looked like a perfect pearl-white position but it was a steep fall and it broke him. The end was probably the most real he ever felt because he could just break and be let free if it all.

I knew immediately when he turned out evil that it wasn’t because he really wanted to be. “I wanted to show everyone the hell I’d been living in.” He could only manifest through total chaos and destruction.

I kept it together this whole story but Humpty’s pain really brought a tear to my eye because I couldn’t hate him even after all that he had done. I knew exactly what he was feeling from beginning to end. I know how it feels. And to anyone who ever feels the way Humpty does, know that times shall pass.

Spoiler for those who haven’t finished:
I like to think about his character as a reverse Humpty Dumpty. He was this ‘perfect’ creature created from broken part by the kings and horsemen (in this case the vampires) who tried to ‘fix’ him. After having to deal with being controlled and sculpted by the kings he came up with the diabolical plan to make them all suffer he climbed the wall above them and tried to watch them as the chaos ensued. He finally felt superior. That view point falls apart in the end sadly after seeing his fate. I guess he did die while he was at the peak of the wall but in the end regretted it. It’s almost like Humpty Dumpty wanted to jump off the wall himself at the end after realizing his wrong doings. Maybe, Humpty Dumpty’s fall wasn’t an accident in the nursery rhyme.
