I’m pretty sure that you have to at least touch someone for it to be considered sex. Let’s say 2 people are having sex and a 3rd person is just sitting there watching. If the 3rd person didn’t participate/even touch the first two people then that would mean that they didn’t have sex with them.
So to answer your question, in my opinion people A and B wouldn’t have had sex with each other.

So I just woke up in the middle of the night with this thought. If there is a 73 person orgy and person A and person B stay on opposite sides of the room does that mean they haven't had sex together? I'm having trouble getting back to sleep because while I really don't care the thought is bouncing around inside my head like a superball.
