The difference between this and killing stalking is that it doesn’t pretend to be a lovey dovey manga. It’s much more realistic to compare this to something like junjou romantica as that also started with what was basically rape. There are also a lot of people that object to the rape in yaoi manga as well you will see the same comments on most of these types of yaoi
I was thinking about junjou while writing this comment too actually lol. But yeah rape culture was definitely getting glorified throughout this manga and again I'm not saying it's okay. It was just annoying seeing this exact type of plot on another yaoi I read but people gave it so much praise? I'll link it if I find it. And you're right killing stalking wasn't the best example for my point.
I do agree with you it is kind of a new thing that people are catching on that rape in yaoi is still rape. Koisuru Boukun (i think that’s the name) is another example of it where people love the love but ignore that he straight up raped and then emotionally blackmailed his friend
This is rape? Yes? But it's literally written like the typical Yaoi except with a girl instead. Doesn't make it right or okay, but that's just how it is. Don't have a problem with this and then NOT have a problem with all the other Yaoi's you read. Guaranteed that if she turned back into a guy y'all wouldn't have this much of an issue about it. Killing stalking exists and it has 9/10 rating despite it's subject matter which is WAY WORSE THEN THIS. smfh hypocrites.
