The author is not dead. She published 2 new manga this year. The reason why this manga is not updating is either it's license or the scanlation group drop it.

I read somewhere why it wasn't completed apparently the author died. So I doubt any new chapter will be added so I reccomend not reading because then you'll always be left wondering
