I’m freaking out

Ruthy February 6, 2019 9:51 pm

I’m a sophomore in high school and today we are making our schedule for next school year and I realized that I fucked up this year because I barely even went to school I wasn’t motivated about my grade. I think I was in a slump but I think that an excuse for myself. I know that if I was motive, I would’ve have done much better. I’m realizing that I might not even be good enough for college because compared to other kids, I don’t stand out. I don’t even know what I want to do as a career, but I know I want to make my parent proud. I just want to scream. AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH(╯°Д °)╯╧╧

You still have two years left my friend....(If you're from the states)....Your junior and senior years are usually the years that matter the most...Also there's community college go there for two years and transfer to a university...(〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

Sophomore here too! We just had to choose our classes (we follow IB), and you're basically asked to decide your entire future in a couple weeks. Super stressful.
It's okay tho, choose the classes you feel the most comfortable in and go for it. You still have time to turn things around in the next 2 years.
    You got this!!

College isn't everything. Trade school is a good option too. Plumbing isn't a glamourous job, but you'll be able to make decent money and support yourself. Which is more than many college grads can say nowadays.
Learn a skill, any skill, make money, spend it on what you love.
Computer programming, though makes really, really good money if you're decent at it and usually you can pick that up in community college or even self taught with certification. Though if your highschool has classes, jump right on that horse and ride off into the sunset.
