While I agree with most of the comments talking about how shallow his story was and how it doesn’t make up for the things he’s done, we need to look a lot deeper folks. What he’s going through isn’t just because of his fucking cat dying, that was a trigger yes, but it was not the source of his mental instability or lack of empathy for others. If you remember in the chapter before that when they were exploring his past, we saw the scene after the cat died and he expressed his grief to his father. What was his fathers reaction? Instead of explaining to his son the sad reality of death and how to cope and offering him comfort, he instead told him that it was more important to be above others using the term ‘rule’. Essentially telling him not to allow simple things that mean something to you, like having a companion, get in his way of his ultimate goal which is to rule over others. This is the key component to why he acts the way he does. You can also imagine just from that scene alone just what kind of environment he might have been living in with his father being the way he is. Not that any of this justifies anything he has done up to this point, but I just thought it was important to highlight that that scene wasn’t just ‘boo hoo his cat died, next.’ but instead to be looked at from another perspective. Lmao this was extra of me but yeah ;)

it still dosn't not make sense, since Jinha had a worse father and never did all those horrible things. so nope, not really. it just a bad writing. there is no need to look deeper.
    at least that what I think ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

well if you’re going to take it that route not all peopl react the same way. just like how there are possibly millions of psychopaths in this world, yet not all of them have the intention to kill or hurt others. obviously, it affected him in a different way.
