Am I the only one who finds the extreme height difference between 99.999999% of shoujo protagonists and love interests rather disconcerting, I mean we're talking about girls who are 3 feet shorter than their love interests, while their love interests are POLES. Do not exactly find it cute find.Heck.

    apparently japanese loved those exaggerations... much similar to anime eyes. i remember reading an article in a magazine that talked about the exaggerations in anime that became over the top a lot of times.
    tho if you watch/read a lot, you'll became used to it lol.

    Yeah, that one will slap you with a majestic 'height difference' istg it's like they've been scaled in Microsoft Paint

    Yeah, I think it's just japan's "moe" culture. At this point, I've gotten pretty used to it myself haha, but it still does throw me off sometimes ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

    NoPe, just checked it out though, and heck you are totally right XD I've There just seems to be this trend of downscaling female protagonists and making them seem anatomically child-like compared to their EXTREMELY UNREALISTICALLY TALL and mature looking male counterparts.
