I absolutely love how people hate this manga for having rape that turns into love, despite the fact that the description already says it all.
So first of all: It's fiction.
Second: If you don't like it - don't read it.
It can be that simple.

I've been in the yaoi fandom for like... 17 years or so?
At this point whenever people complain I just wave them off and tell them to either get out of the fandom if they don't like the tropes or keep reading and quit fucking complaining. Same shit different day and honestly it gets boring. The complaints are overused just like the rape trope. (● ̄(エ) ̄●)

Meanwhile, my biggest complaint is whether Killua and Gon will ever get to adventure again together in HxH. ╥﹏╥

Totally agree with you. Some times I get really tired of people complaining all the time about the rape trope which is a huge part of yaoi. I bet more than half of yaoi manga in mangago have rape in them...
To me, it doesnt make sense to get mad about something that is going to happen anyway, especially if we know it beforehand. And in the end... the two of them will fall in love with each other and have a happy ending... So why get mad?

It's like when people get into the horror genre and go "OMG I HATE JUMPSCARES LIKE WHY ARE THEY ALWAYS IN HORROR MOVIES LIKE IT IS SO OVERUSED AND HONESTLY I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY PEOPLE STILL USE IT."

It's a major thing and tbh I'm glad that a majority of these get a somewhat happy if not completely happy ending. Most of these series are only 1 vol. long so yeah, the redemption arc for the semes isn't always the best but at least we get the gist that they mean it when they apologize even if it does feel rushed. It's not like any of the major series that are like 50 ch.+ and going strong. Most of these titles are "one-hit wonders" and sometimes they are the creator's entry titles--which means that yeah, the plot and charas are going to be rough and the plot is going to be cliche. Cut them some fucking slack.

If you honestly have such a big issue about the tropes in this genre then maybe you're in the wrong place. If you're so unwilling to just get over the fact that it's fictional charas in a fictional world finding fictional romance then maybe yaoi/yuri isn't for you. Shit, maybe any sort of sexualized manga/anime series isn't for you. (● ̄(エ) ̄●)
