    i think overheat is just another term for overusing. pushing it past the limits.

    when you overuse your eyes by concentrating on sumn, you'd need to blink or close ur eyes for a while to prevent it from hurting, right? could that logic be applied to this context?

    i guess it's the same as when you keep using large apps/play games on your phone for too long, it eventually overheats. you'd need to turn it off or stop using the app, to prevent overheat. likewise, in this case, adam needed to deactivate or consciously stop using 'The Eyes of the Lord' since he was already straining his eyes too much.

    hmm yeah, that's one way, i guess
