It's don't really have anything to do with man ,it's the culture. In most place in asia woman that aren't within their idea of perfect woman is considered ugly. It's doesn't take much, just being a bit overweight, a small damage to the face that's almost unnoticeable, have long hair in the face etc. are often enough for a woman to be considered ugly. Although in recent years it have started to slowly change, it's still a huge problem over there, the degree of how bad it is change from one country to another, but as far as i know it's a problem in every country.
