yeah that used to happen to me too and I couldn't help it since the dream feels so real that is soo confusing. when I feel the urge, In my dream I feel myself entering the bathroom and doing the thing and when finished I wake up it was sooooo frustrating. however I forced myself to wake up when I see myself entering the bathroom like talking to myself in the dream 'this is not real and I should wake up'. time after time it worked and stopped.
ok this is making me question the average age of you people on here, it's been 15 years since I've last worried about stuff like this lol
