the ending is sad
I thought it was sad but at the same time all his efforts was worth and I think it was the best ending it could get. There’s nothing better than been able to spend an peaceful life with those who are dear to you and seeing how many life he could save. Any way, I like that there have a lot of extras.
Wait does he lose his powers? I don't think I like that kind off ending, reminds me of full metal alchemist. When Edward loses all his alchemy type powers etc

After he fought the greatest enemy, the king of dragons, he ask for the Rulers (angel like beings/emissary of gods) to turn time back with one artifact that they have, and by doing it he go back in time to before the apparition of gates and hunters and fought all those monsters and monarchs all by himself in an space between dimensions. Just to prevent anymore deaths, specially of those whose died in the previous time line. He successfully killed all of than and returned to his world, but in this new time line it passed like nothing happened, so gates and awakening of hunters never happened and he became an unknown hero. But he could gain what he really wanted, an peaceful and normal life with his family in the state it was before all this mess. By the way, he still have his power, but he hide it because in this time line he is the only being in this world that have such power.
So he saves everybody, lives a good life AND keeps his powers, correct?
