I'd say a dj is based of on characters of a game/anime or something like that and it doesn't have to be boy x girl it can be boy x boy or girl x girl
Shounen ai is a boy x boy webtoon/manga/... without sex scenes something really fluffy yk
And shoujo is a boy x girl webtoon/manga/... that's especially written/drawn for girls in the age of 6-18 of course you can still read it if you're older/younger
