This probably isnt in your ...field?, nor is it like high school star musical. But i have recently watched it and i freaking loved it. Its called "kono oto tamare" and its about a school club revolving around the japanese koto. Get your tissues ready cos ur gonna be crying a lot! Unless that was just me... Σ( ￣□￣||)
Probably Tsukiuta, also has albums + drama track. No reverse harem. Just all boys. There's also Ensemble Star. I heard it's gonna be airing in a few days (July 7, 2019, based on a mobile app game). That one's really popular.'
Not an anime but similar to the other two I mentioned. No reverse harems either. Hypnosis Mic isn't about idol groups but rap groups. It's got albums+ drama tracks AND a manga. I recommend listening to their music on youtube!

Dunno, there's gonna be a gaming app soon and if their videos continue to garner 1mil to 10mil views then yeah, it's possible but definitely not within this year. It's not easy to make an anime, even more so in high quality. There's also the fact that each season has a scheduled anime showing. It'll probably take a year or even three depending on how long the hype lasts in Japan. I highly recommend checking them out though.
