My theory is that all of them are aspects of Hyung's personality - personified and magnified. By forcing him to choose thishe can't believe are Hyung - it's forcing him to choose the parts of Hyung that he can't accept are part of him. Maybe at the end, Hyung has to make the decision if HE wants to be with Dumbass.
