For some reason even though a lot of characters are against the relationship of the two i can't seem to hate any of them which is a first for me (because i'd actually bitch about it if something happens to the main couple) i think the author really did a good job to portray every character so that the readers can sympathize to all of them; they didn't just focus on the main couple but also to what all the characters are feeling too.
It really gives you a lot to feel about and a wider depth to the whole story
