I remember reading this manga some 10 years ago, being a teenager (I was 17). Self-harm was much “popular” back then (or should I say more occurrent), with the emo thing being trendy as a lifestyle among teenagers and everything. One particular scene that edged into my head is when the seme returns home from the farm work, he sees his lover smiling and waving from the windows. It’s just the epitome of that normal, content family life that both of them had never known of. To me, Cut is still one of the best love stories ever written, and I hope more people will read this.
