Mangago can take care of themselves

If you're saying you want this taken down because you don't want mangago to disappear, I think you're worrying too much. The people in charge here probably want it taken down even less than any of us; and they're probably well aware of the consequences they might face, was any action taken against them. With all the commotion, they must know what's going by now and I'll trust their judgement.

As for the whole "I'll stop the English translation" from the author, I'm not even 100% sure they CAN do that. That they make money or not off it, Lezhin sure does, and we all know how close to their money Lezhin is.

Finally on another note, it's the same thing as downloading/streaming movies and music: people will keep on doing this, which is why policies like Line Webtoon's work way better. It's already free to use, they make money differently. This just makes me think of the artists trying to get their music off online platforms: it's undertstandable, but it's not working on the long term.

Lezhin has taken comics down from their website when the artist requested it before. Rather infamously, they removed The Origin of Love with barely a warning right after they had a promo for it. So it isn't impossible that the creator could request a removal of all English translations.

Paid systems like Lezhin's give all the creators a reliable wage, which LINE doesn't unless they make it big. There have been some major issues brought to light with Lezhin's management in regards to the treatment some creators, but overall I do think it's a better system, especially since they combine paid episodes with the option to read for free if you're patient. I do wish they had low prices like Tappytoon, but I'll live.
