If you actually have a Lezhin account, you will know which manhwa is made for global and which manhwa is restricted for Koreans only. They started implementing this when more and more authors noticed that their works has been spreading around for FREE when they are working their ass on it (started from 2017). Another example is King's Maker, it got really popular and people start reading it illegally thus for second season they restricted it only for koreans reader (but i've seen people illegally translating in spanish).
Lezhin is a paid platform like renta and sublime (licensed manga). People who read licensed manga and manhwa should know that they are ripping the authors from their hard work.
funny how u saying this but yet YOURE STILL HERE ON THIS WEBSITE???? hypocrite
Snap
King's maker season 2 isn't even on Lezhin. It switched to another site who doesn't provide english translations. I could be wrong, but I think the reason was that the author had problems with Lezhin. It happened with other authors as well, that stopped working with lezhin because they didn't treat them right. I am pretty sure the reason wasn't that the author wanted to keep the manwha only for Korean readers. If it was, he/she could've continue working with lezhin, but ask them to stop the english translation. Of course no author likes illegal reading, but there are korean illegal sites who upload the korean versions as well, so I don't think that's the reason this manhwa doesn't have an english translation. I'm pretty sure Lezhin decides what manhwa's will have an english translation depending on how succesful the original in korean is. It's possible that it will get an official translation in the future. Other than that, you're right that we should support the authors (and I actually buy manwha's on lezhin).
Most of my "read list" are mangas which are not licensed yet. I am a part of translation group so we knows our boundaries.
Lezhin updates are off limits because they made money by digital release by each updates. Same with other paid platforms. I have been on mangago since ages even before manhwas became a big thing in here.
I am not a hypocrite because i at least has the decency to stay away from manhwas THAT AUTHORS SPECIFICALLY RESTRICT FOR ILLEGAL READING. Lezhin authors basically pleaded people not to read their works illegally.
thanks for the reply but for me it sounds more like your personal opinion. I thought the mangaka said somewhre she hates western readers or something.
of course its a theme wihtout an end (licenced, not licenced, stealing, sharing, to expenspive and more and more topics)
and I think lezhin itself is a ... hard theme.
This manhwa was specifically restricted ONLY FOR KOREAN READERS AND YOU CANNOT ACCESS IT IF YOU ARE NOT IN KOREA.
Please dont do this to the author who went such length to protect her works.
Yall being so selfish at this point. Respect the author.
