Ahahaha, despite the fact that I definitely liked this BL, I 200% agree with you. But tbh, ain't this how most BL are? The plot is never that good and is only there to get the character together and fucking. Maybe my standard for yaoi has gone straight to hell and now I'm fine with basically everything that's got an understandable story even if its bland as hell and makes no sense if you really think about it. Seriously, after reading so many yaoi, I really don't expect much from it since I know how bad most of it is. Enjoying yaoi requires you to just switch on the "don't think much about it" switch.
Not that I'm saying you're wrong with the criticism. Like I said, I really agree with ya, and appreciate you for saying what I felt but couldn't quite grasp why I didn't seem to like this story as much as everyone else. :) Thanks for voicing out your opinion when most are just content enjoying this for what it is. (Not that I'm saying those people are wrong alright, love what you love)
Hehe thanks. I also agree with you on the "don't think much about it" thing when it comes to reading yaoi. That's how I go in when I read yaoi. Afterall, it is basically supposed to be porn and when does porn ever have real substance, right? However, when I see potential for a good yaoi with an actual plot, I can't help but to be excited. I thought this would be one of those stories but it turned out to be just a ridiculous, fast paced ride and I'm not completely mad at it. It's fun if you just want to read something with a good artstyle and some smexy scenes.
Whilst I didn't exactly hate this, I didn't really like it either. The art was good but the story was bland. None of the conflicts really mattered and everything was glossed over so quickly.
Dude is a clean freak? Doesn't matter had a one night stand with a total stranger. Wanted to be rich, a politician and single for life? Falls in love with a king after one night. The king's brother doesn't like the fact that the king is doting on hthe omega so he hired some men to deal with Souichirou. What happens? It's okay, he vomits all over the guys and the king comes in to warn his brother not to do it again. King says he doesn't want kids because he doesn't want to be with a woman just to create an heir to his throne? No worries, the king is just an idiot who didn't realize he's been fucking an omega male who is capable of giving birth. How does he fix the misunderstanding? Infiltrates the omegan paradise of course. Does he get in trouble for it? Not really, he's a foreign king afterall. He can do anything!
I don't hate it, I'm just unsatisfied . I laughed a ton though because this was one of those "so ridiculous that it's actually funny" kind of read for me.
