Second Mc point of view:The Ml succeeded but dies while the Mc lives.
but Ml doesn't remember some future,only feeling deja vu
So maybe this is all their third chance
Besides Ml kinda knows the new student which the new student knows about the clock guy while he also knows the Ml so now his guiding( or not) the Mc (￣∇￣")again only a theory...
