Majority of PTSD patient loss some part of their memory especially from the traumatic incidents. Their brain will bind them to remember the terrifying thing had happened. it's the same as how serotonin works on your body. it's probably why his dad never told him about his mother. from what it looks, Qingyu is definitely had PTSD from her mother's death incident.

even though they haven’t mention about qingyu’s ptsd, it does ptsd. he was around 10 if i’m not mistaken when his mother died. he didn’t remember anything but when cheng jing try to do “a brainstorming of qingyu’s past, he regain some part of his past & looks shocked.
And imagine even teacher cheng successfully have his revenge he felling guilty coz it and try protecting him all cost...
