Sounds like King's game. I watched a few episodes of that anime, but only stuck around because the intro was by Coldrain.
omg yh i've watched kings game a while back too- let me tell u it was absolute crap- like it was just pure gore and d story was not really resolved- i stuck around hoping to get a satisfying end atleast but damn no - d end was d worst
i read this manga a reallly long time ago, but it was basically about a group of high schoolers who downloaded an app? and this app had a creepy animal mascot thing that would assign them tasks, and if they couldn't complete them they got punished. idk if it was super good or not i just remember thinking about it.
