So a long time ago I was reading this manga where the characters had "clocks" on their wrists and when the clock went into red they would suffer extreme amounts of pain. To stop this they would have to chop off their finger off to eat this meat pack thing and that would stop the hunger and the clock would reset. In the story there is some clock place with some goddess or whatever where the watches remain set on a certain time but then the goddess gets killed.
